bone grafts

Bone grafts are used to strengthen the jaw bone and prepare for a dental implant. In this procedure, an opening is made in the gums and jaw bone. Then, bone granules are packed into this opening, which is then sanitized and sutured. As the area heals, new bone will grow around the bone granules, strengthening the area.

alveoloplasty

This surgery is often needed after tooth extraction to prepare for a dental implant or a denture. In alveoloplasty, the gums are opened up and then the bone near a missing tooth is sanded down to remove sharp “bone ridges.” These can interfere with the proper fit of dental implants and other prosthetics.

Complex Occlusion Issues & Adjustments

If you have severe bite problems, it may be necessary to alter the structure of the jaw to improve your bite. This is usually done alongside orthodontic care. Adjusting your bite can enhance your appearance, restore your oral health, eliminate premature wear and tear on your teeth, and treat conditions like teeth grinding (bruxism) and TMJ.
